In July, many people evaluate what they have accomplished during

the first half of the year. I believe that self evaluation is an important

part of a person's life. To me, it provides an opportunity for progress

to be made, changes to be made and redirection if necessary.

Of course, self evaluation should occur throughout the year. Writing

down your plan(s) and how you're going to succeed, helps the

process. It organizes your thoughts and your actions.

For example, in writing my book, Traveling With God, the title didn't

come first. As the topics and scriptures came, I had separate papers

for each topic. I connected scriptures with the topics and the topics

with the scriptures. The number of scriptures increased and

decreased. The scripture versions changed and stayed the same.

My self evaluation and critique from others helped me reach my goal.

At times when I became discouraged, I prayed and God gave me the

mind to continue and complete the eBook. It took longer than I

expected.

When I finished the eBook, I achieved one of my writing goals.
